School Closure

School got closed today. Most schools get out because of snow but the last 5 yrs, our has been because of cold. It's 9:30 and it hasn't warmed up much. Anyhoo, it's a whopping -17 with a wind chill of -30.

I am happy though because our water never froze and we still have power

Sounds cold. I was just glancing at Peter King's column on the football weekend, and he said he put a can of water next to his hotel window in Green Bay, on the inside. It froze overnight.

My cousin's pipes have frozen, thought my Grandma's did to but it's her sewer instead.

As far as the vehicles, I haven't tried to start my van today but the hubby's truck started just fine

Frozen pipes ain't cool.... I had to climb under my grandfather's house yesterday to make sure they were being heated properly. I have to say that is the # 1 thing I hate about winter.
