Arma II Day Z

Hey guys, I'm not sure if this has been posted in the past and I didn't really want to bother searching through the forums lol... Anyway, I've been watching DayZ videos on Youtube and it seems to be something that I want to get into. I have noticed that there isn't a specific channel for it on the forum and was wondering if anyone had planned on playing this game. The concept of the game is really rather well done and I'm hoping to get a good experience out of it.

My question is if anyone here actually plays it and if so, would you like to make a day when we can all get on it and mess about for a few hours. I figure it would be a great game for a new FPS environment. I know I haven't been on CS: GO, but it doesn't really suit me that well. I'm accustom to tanks, jets, and heli's now haha! That's why I've been on BF3. Don't get me wrong though. Counter strike is a great game, I just never could get into it.

Jeffro (i think) posted about this a while. From what i've heard from a person I watch Day Z videos of, Day Z is starting to wane slightly. With the main excuse that people are still waiting for the standalone version. I'm included in this group.

I played it for a while. It can be fun but after a while it gets boring. I think I lasted like 8 hrs on one guy.
It really is alot of sneaking around unless you are really good and get a team of people. Then all you are doing is picking off people.

The Zombie spawning was a little annoying. You could never clear out an area. My best kill ratio was about 60 zombies. Of course you are running from place to place for a while to get a good gun. If you are in a city then you have to watch out for other players killing you and taking your stuff.

However, as Juneau stated, I am also waiting for the standalone to come out. There are too many bugs in the mod to be 100% enjoyable right now. It is a VERY VERY fun game, for me atleast.

I suppose I'll wait until the stand alone comes out as well. Any ideas on the date? I actually got the demo for Arma II at the moment lol And I really hope that June tags along as well. It would be awesome to have someone of his stature gaming with us
