Break the speed of sound?? I hope the suit he's wearing is going to protect him from the heat/friction of the air when he starts hitting the thicker air

He hit more than 800 mph, and as a friend of mine noted on Facebook the higher you get, the thinner the air, the lower the threshold is for Mach 1, so he beat it by about 24 percent.

That single step into space was pure man.

I hope Nasa gives him the Astronaut pin.
