    Heat reflecting face paint

    New camo face paint protects soldiers against bomb blasts

    And I think this is very cool.

    This is pretty cool, but. I remember years ago a Great Britain man created a material that was later called StarFire. For a few years I could find information about it on the web, but it dropped out of site.

    The reason I mention this is the material was literally capable of turn the fire retardant community upside down by eliminating houses from burning down, creating items able to resist cutting torches, high powered lasers, you name it. The material was a ceramic the guy accidentally created because, get this, he just needed something to resist heat for some reason.

    With this article I'm pretty sure which government bought the material and covered it up.

    ADDITION: I did just check there is something on about StarFire Systems, but I don't know if they are any relation. Looks similiar but toned down.

      Most likely some company bought it and shelved it because it can't be made into a product that would be actually make money.

        LOL, it wouldn't be shelved even though you wouldn't hear about it again.

        I've spent enough time in the military and working in the civilian world with the DoD, something like this would be bought up and weaponized for defensive purposes.
