I wonder what kind of ships ours were? I'm guessing tankers or something equally non-threatening for them to take the risk of approaching them like that.

I'd like to see them try that on a carrier battle group, with their standard operating procedure of "get closer than this, and you die".

The Pentagon just issued a press release identifying the ships as a cruiser, destroyer, and a frigate. Not ships I'd want to mess with. Whacky Iranians.

They had 5 attack craft... They would have beat us for sure. Besides they hadn't brought out their R/C controlled Aircraft Carrier yet.

Warships under direct orders to be as conservative as possible, in the area to search for a missing crewman from one of them from Friday.

Next time the Iranians try to get that close, they'll get to see what the bottom of the Strait of Hormuz looks like.
