How much tech is really in a car.

I work for a Volvo dealer. There is a update for the system that reads the car. Vida is the operating system
"THE VIDA CERTIFICATION AGENT HAS CHANGED STARTING WITH
THIS VIDA VERSION. COMPUTERS WITH LESS THAN 2GB OF RAM
AND LESS THAN 20GB OF LOCAL FREE SPACE WILL NOT BE ABLE
TO INSTALL THIS VERSION OF VIDA."

To me 20GB is alot of space needed for a program.

Yeah 20gb is alot but might not be exclusively used for the program. It might have to parse some rather large logfiles and needs the space and ram to do that.
