Actually spending BILLIONS on new 4G network and upgrades all over. Unfortunately, the Data Revolution using smart phones is 10 times the traffic on what was originally predicted. That is why ATT is buying T-mobile, for bandwidth.

Some other creative applications is to say, have a high rise in Chicago have ALL its AT*T smart phone traffic go over a HS data line feeding that building, rather than taking bandwidth from the general area.

I've had friends in Verizon who have mentioned that they are running over predictions as well, and having bandwidth issues.

Ever see AT&T's data calculator? It's a joke:

I did an average calculation and it said 2gb a month LOL... I do the same thing on my plan and it eats up about 500mb

It's time to bring back that smirky guy with the dimples on their ads and have him point at the map of the U.S. while smugly asserting that AT&T has the most coverage...it might be enough to shame a few folks into switching.

estimated 7.63Gb a month, streaming pandora 8 hours a day 5 days a week at work eats up quite a bit, but not that much...
