It's funny, with the motto I read above, it might have to be adjusted for me, "I CAME for the games, but I STAYED for the people".

In a sense, it's still kind of the same, because the outcome is favorable.

This is just a complimentary post actually, Cain. By far, since the existence of the internet, this is the ONLY gaming community I keep coming back to thanks to the friendliness, comradare, and fellowship.

I salute Cain's Lair

(And yes, I was sober when I wrote this, so it's not one of those "I love you man" posts, lol)

Same here ... not only do i not play any online games, I've actually given up on offline gaming as well. What I spent 2 hours a night on 2 years ago has become something I don't do 2 hours a month anymore.

My history with the Lair dates back to at least 2000, playing UT CTF every night. I would eventually get tired of a game and go away for a bit, playing an offline game like Company of Heroes or Plants Vs. Zombies, then come back when a new game that I liked came out.

I spent a few hours rebuilding my workbench rig last night, so even that work is getting to be a burden rather than fun, so I doubt you'll see me online for another year or so, but I still know I have friends around here that mean a lot to me, and I know Cain will always leave a light on for the stragglers and late arrivals, and I appreciate his efforts to entertain us for all of these years as well.
