Japanese Boat Captain Rode Through Tsunami

    http://www.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/asiapc...ex.html?hpt=C2

Wow, what a choice...run for the hills and lose your livelyhood or head straight for the tsunami. He now uses his boat to aid his town. I'm glad he made it through (for his sake and for the town's)!

Ohh I wish he had a webcam handy. Seeing that on video would send a shiver up my spine.
Oh if a man tried to take his time on Earth and prove before he died what one man's life could be worth, well I wonder what would happen to this world ? - Harry Chapin

I imagine it'll have looked something a little like this video i posted somewhere back in the main thread.

I believe so, but it didn't sound like the fisherman was as far out to sea as this vessel (5km), so between the vessel size and the wave height (and the man's story) I'm guessing it might have been even more dramatic.
