    Apparently the Army Corps of Engineers diverted water from the American side in 1969, some really cool pictures.

        Thought this was gonna be about the occational times where it freezes and you cannot see the water move with the lights behind the ice(looks cool)
        i live near niagara falls thats why i know this

              Wow, that is weird seeing no water going over it since I have seen it so many times roaring with water. Imagine being down there on the bed rock knowing that if that dam fails you are SCREWED.
