Sorry to hear about your loss Sirex,

I'm right there with you in how hard it is... we had to put down our greyhound, Halley, of 12 years last year. It was really a hard thing to do.

Last week our five year old son asked where 'Halley' was and we replied that she had died and gone to heaven. I don't think he really grasp the the explanation behind it until just then and then he started crying... miserable sobbing cries. It really choked everyone up again and before the night was over, he was wanting to look on the internet for another Halley.

I can relate, my faithful companion of 6 years passed away last winter at age 12. I loved that cat, and that cat loved me. I'd always grab her and bring her to bed with me when I was younger and felt scared. We had a real, true bondage.
