    Blizzard and Activision announced today that they will be merging to form Activision Blizzard [mega super game maker conglomerate]

    This seems too improbable to be true, but there you go.

    I guess Activision really IS gunning for EA at this point....at least with this merger, they give EA a run for their money

              shouldve seen this coming with the CoD4 vs Crysis match this season...

              Its now a level playing field between the EA/Pandemic Union and Activision/Blizzard Coalition

                    Well, Blizzard has weathered (woohoo pun ) several mergers/acquisitions without completely losing their considerable gamer street cred....don't see that changing really with this merger. I just found it overall quite shocking and completely unexpected.

                    At least we can all HOPE that Blizz remains the same....you never know. They've made Vivendi a smal.....scratch that, LARGE fortune that rivals the gross national product of many small countries. It will be increasingly difficult for them not to sell out to keep that kind of cash flowing. Let's hope they stick to their guns.....few companies out there seem willing to do that these days
