I heard this on the radio on the way home. Man, the parents (and the boy) must be freaking. I hope the kid makes it back down alright. I also wonder if the parents can be held accountable...it seems almost as dangerous as leaving a firearm (unfenced pools, etc.) accessible to children.

This was huge news all over the world with millions tuning in to live US news streams. People stared at their screens as they witnessed a balloon..... floating.

You know, I just spent a few minutes readying thru and responding to the posts on this news. I'm getting so tired of hearing people jump on the "make them pay" and "it was a hoax" ban wagon, it's making me sick.

Every time someone hears a retarded story like this that CNN and other so called news agencies shouldn't report until it's a done deal and ONLY report the facts.

There are people on there talking about how it was definetly a stunt and the kids should be taken from the parents, etc.

You know, I'm sure every one out there that are making these comments lives in a perfect family, they have all the money in the world, they are probably all so perfect they could fall under something like this and come out squeaky clean. What a bunch of losers.

If this guy were to admit he planned this whole thing, then I say what ever happens to him, let it happen. Until that point people really need to stop being so judgmental since this is the whole problem with this world today.

They reckon he is after more than 5 minutes of fame. He was on wife swap and another TV show prior to this stunt. I think that calls for a little judgement doug I wonder what the authorities will say about how he supervises hsi child if it was not a stunt and how he abused him by making him lie if it was
