Obama: Kanye West is a jackass

Obama Calls Kanye a 'Jackass' -- The Audio | TMZ.com

While I'm not fond of all of Obama's policies and whatnot....I can't help but agree with him on this comment. I can't wait to hear Kanye's return

Agreed, I'm not fond of him personally much less his policies, but this is the most intelligent thing I've ever heard him say AND his has just went up one notch on my rating scale

I think we should drag the worthless !@#$ Kanye out and beat the heck outta him for being a worthless, spotlight seeking, sorry !@#, piece of !@#$.

A few less thugs as role models might do wonders for the youth of today.

          My thoughts exactly.

Why do people give a rat's ass about what the president thinks about Kanye? Really, aren't there more important things for him to discuss? Why is the public all gun-ho about his statements on an entertainer and something that happened on an awards show?

The world is going to craps, I swear, and the media is what is dragging it down.

Remember what country you're talking about here. I'm not really exaggerating when I say that more people can name the latest star on the Redneck Comedy Tour than can find your country on a map.

Culture in all forms, but most particularly video and music media, are America's biggest obsession. There's actually a case that some have made (and which is valid) that our exported culture is our biggest impact on the world, even more so than the wars we participated in during the 20th Century or our political and economic weight.

On a day to day, person level, people here care far too much about stars and "stars" all the way down to F level reality tv, and not nearly enough about anything meaningful. It's just the way it is.

I totallly agree Rand. The US's main export is its culture. Whether that be positive (freedom of speech and such) or negative (violence and fast food).

I just find the situation you described sad as hell. When so many people could put so much more energy to doing good, or doing better, but all they do is drool over the latest copy of the Enquirer.

And don't get me wrong, Canadians aren't that much better.

I'm sorry, do you think the media needs an excuse to cover something like this? It's the media, just think of them like a swarm of rats fighting over cheese.

                      OMG !%@$#^@^4 @%$#@^$#

Really....this is what my @!@$ing local news leads in with. Is this what we $#%ing care about ? Your kidding me. I'm old I realize but, crap I never heard of this guy until now. I wish I hadn't heard of him still. I don't really get this whole celebrity worship thing America has . I can sum up my feelings as

yeah there some talented people who sing or did something cool ok great lets do something else I'm bored now.
I mean geezz they are just people right....They like everyone else they poop, breathe and die... Just like all humans.

I mean crap If you want some one to be amazed at I just read "And Brave Men Too". Which was a series of interviews with MoH recipients from Vietnam. Those guy's are way more deserving of America's worship and infatuation then these $%#@ing artists.

Damn thing reminds me of when people got all up in arms over Coke changing the damn flavor.

I guess what I'm saying is Is this really important?

No, its not. And thats my point.

Its ridiculous that this is the lead story on news stations. Closely followed by Serena Williams doing her bitching fest and then closing with a number on Michael Jackson.

I'm currently reading the "Shaking Hands with the Devil" book by General Romeo Dallaire, the UN Lead in Rwanda during the genocide in 1994.

Great book, but OMG the world was such bass ackwards. When millions of people were being slaughtered (and the stories in this book are very graphic of HOW they were slaughtered), the top story in most of the world was OJ Simpson.

Once they managed to get the news channels to cover the event more, provided some sort of safety for journalists to report back, only then did the world start to pay some sort of attention. But it was too late.

The media can have such a hugely positive impact on things, but its rotting the brains of people. But yet, the media only gives what people want to see.

Come to think of it, I blame Robin Leach! He started all this retarded facination with how the rich lead their lives.

I read up on a PBS special they did about that. Including interviews with all of the primary personalities. That General was in a bad position. Pretty griping stuff.

Sorry for this comment, But i do not think our president should be getting involed in personel matters in our country no matter who you are but concentrate on the worlds dilemma & how we can solve the problems & get it back to a normal stage.

                            Just my opinion.
