Business Spectator - News - News Corp to charge for all news websites

Does this sound incredibly stupid to anyone else?

Yes, and it'll fail miserably. NY Times tried this recently with their columnists and op-eds, which are a big draw for them, and that was a spectacular failure. All charging for everything is going to do is drive people away from the sites to free content.

"Quality journalism is not cheap, and an industry that gives away its content is simply cannibalising its ability to produce good reporting," Mr Murdoch said.
Lol. I'm not sure what he's talking about: I don't believe quality journalism exists anymore!!!
