    hooray for gun owners!

Good for these folks. However, I though one of the main goals of the Dept. of Homeland Security was to make our emergency response system more effective, post 9-11?

Good for them! When the processes put in place are ineffective, specially when it comes to personal security, its good to see someone take things into their own hands.

I'm happy to read that no one got hurt. Any idea of the intruder had a gun? And if they did, I wonder if the outcome would of been different?

We had a case here a few months ago of a woman who was doing fake calls to 911. To the tune 10,000 calls in a year. People like that who tie up an emergency response line should be tried harshly (which no one ever is in Quebec). Same goes for people calling 911 because of a screwed up order at a McDs
[this is where my funky sig would go. But I don't have one.
So all you get is this crappy text]

I don't think the intruder had a gun...sounds like he was just a drug crazed putz. But still I'm glad that he didn't get away with breaking into the old woman's home or doing something more terrible.

I might have heard about your 911 caller, or another one who called it that many times, though it seems like it was a long time ago. Some real frootloops out there! But I can't imagine the 911 center in a rural Town being that busy.

My wife makes good money off these fruit loops. She often has people who do things like this show up in her programs. They often have a long list of problems so they avoid prosecution in any sort of liberal area like we have here in VT.

I think they avoid prosecution all over the place. Sometimes I think the crazy ones are those of us who play by the rules!

They should make one of those "Survivor" shows, like "Eternal Survivor", and send these whackjobs to scrape by for their lifetimes...prank calls, scratching tree bark, eating ants, whatever....
