    I think they will... The backbone of the birth American economy is the auto industry... If the government let's it collapse we will all be joining the many 3rd world nations

        I kinda agree with Duke (or is it Rand) On some level if companies fail new ones will spring up to take it's place. However your prolly right that at least for now we should prop em up. I actually think Americas greatest strength is it's intellectual prowess

        Like the line from the book snow crash. Amercians do three things great...Movies, Pizza and software.
