That's essentially what the F2000 was based on. It's changed a bit in recent years, not as alien looking now. It's more mundane and as a result somewhat cheaper.
Still not ready to be fielded yet. We're falling behind in the Land Warrior program.

I had an entry level...
FS2000. It is a neat gun, but the shell ejection mechanism has almost no room for error, which results in some devastating jams (you have to pull the insides of the gun out to fix it). Too much plastic for me to feel comfortable with it...I traded it in.
