    Not looking forward to this...

I'm closing in on 30 this Sept. It's slowly creeping up on me and I've been fearing this unavoidable day.

What are some of your guys and gals experiences with hitting that 30 benchmark? What did you do to help ease the pain?

What pain? You don't step on a nail or stub your toe... well if you do when you wake up being 30, you could look on it as bad.

You could just sit under a tree for 24 hrs and see what the world means to you. (i think that was TS elliot, among many other people trying to seek enlightenment in various forms)

Look at it this way. You have most of your life in front of you. Your best earning years are in front of you so better toys. You don't remember the first 5 years or so anyway. The first 18-21 years you were limited on what you were allowed to do legally compared to the rest of your life. Those girls with daddy issues are getting within range now. What do you do at 30? Say f**k yeah and get going. It's not like any of us are getting out of this alive anyway.

I had a few beers and enjoyed the day, lol. 32 now with 33 fast approaching and not a damn bit different.

I think the difference of age can only be known after 7 years. The perspective doesn't come until after about that time.. or at least how I perceive when I look back .

                agreed.
Was walking round the ASDA (walmart uk stores) the other day, seen a few kids messing about, what looked like teens at a passing glance.
I took a better look as one of the lassies started yelling as one of the boys was trying to stuff her in the freezer....
                Dont know why but anyway...
i clocked their actual age right then, the guys where 24-26, and so where the lassies...

I thought... odd how that works, a second ago they where teenagers... least in my head because how I initally glanced over their ages.
A few years ago I would have pegged that lot in my age range, now they just look... like kids!

LOL people asked me the same thing when I turned 40. In both cases, I just drank a bunch of beer and enjoyed the party.

30 fo real... I was 30 before I finally realized I didnt know anything. After that I really went to town. But at 30 I still looked 18 so I had that going for me.
