This is my favorite approach, its the river visual into DCA. you have to be careful of the prohibited airspace of the Washington monument which is on the left while not flying too tight of a pattern. I have done this approach hundreds of times and it never gets old. Here is a random youtube video of it.
That's a pretty cool approach! Smooth landing and probably the fastest I've seen a commercial plane slow down lol. 747's feel like you're going to run out of runway.

Just found this for you Duke. Not only was Kai Tak one of the hardest runways to land at, it usually suffered from quite strong crosswinds lol.

I love going to the Sunset Bar to drink beer and watch planes land. Will be there again in March.

I wouldn't have a problem landing there, I just wouldn't land sideways, those guys are lucky they flip that plane over and kill someone.

I thought landings like that were quite routine in strong crosswinds?

That was a horrible landing. I'm sure those tires had to be replaced as it appeared like a few had blow. That approach should have been aborted.

We should have a CLR trophy for the person who flies as a passenger when duke is flying (Sorry Mini, you're disqualified )

Are we allowed to scream "hope the plane don't crash"..... bonus points if you can name where that came from.
