    Don't forget to post pics!

I see a lot of you guys are still going the Nvidia route, which I can fully understand. I'm just a little surprised at the amount of people going socket 1155 instead of the newer 1150.

      Of the hardware, that is

Ya, whats the deal with the 1155 lovin' ?? Anytime a new socket comes out, everyone rushes to buy the new one and sell the old one.

Are you getting the board and the cpu at a cheap price point? Else I would buy i5-4570 + board instead.

          And pics are always nice...

Are you certain that the CPU cooler will fit? I ask because I have an old one that I could use on Minis i5 in case I want to OC.

I remember you building your last one, enjoy this build and as already stated don't forget the pics.

Pretty sure. I looked at the Zalman part number for the one that fits the new CPU and it's the same part number as the one I ordered last time. If it doesn't fit I should be okay with the stock cooler and the well ventilated case until I can get another cooler.

UPS says the parts should be here Wednesday.

I think you may need a new bracket but that should be easy enough to find.

                    Looking forward to it!

Darn - everything shipped the same day, but apparently the case came from a different location. Everything EXCEPT the case came in today. Still expecting it tomorrow.

So here is the stuff - still waiting on the case.

I haven't built a PC in 7 years. Trying to remember if it was easier to assemble the MB and components first and stick in the case. Or mount the MB in the case first and then assemble the other components.

                          Ahhhh yeeessss.

If the case is large I put the components in after, this way I can plan my wiring easier. I guess the CPU and backplae (if needed) could easily be installed before hand though.

I haven't yet. The case is still "Out for delivery" according to UPS. I may go ahead and mount the CPU and RAM. Save adding the cooler and GPU until it's in the case.
