P.S. Lots of 21 year olds lately. Makes me recall my youth, which I'm still young enough to remember, unlike some *ahem* :). Anyway, I'm not a drinker, so to me 18 was more important, because it allowed me access to certain, erm, clubs.

To each their own. As Apache says, be safe if you're the type to celebrate the milestone in the traditional manner.

The drinking age was 18 when I turned 18.
When they raised the drinking age back to 21 they did it one year at a time. This one girl I knew was one week behind every year. :D
