Obama: Gun owners do not need to stock up :: CHICAGO SUN-TIMES :: 44: Barack Obama (http://www.suntimes.com/news/politics/obama/1318968,obama-gun-sales-up-120808.article)

Like the article says it's his past that concerns me more then what he is saying now. Throw in a few liberal judges and there is reason for concern.

from the guy from the Brady group in the article:

"We don't think these are first-time buyers. We think they are people who already have more than enough guns at their homes to protect themselves and are buying more."

It's true in my case, but if as he says, I "have more than enough guns at my home to protect" myself, what difference does it make if I get another? I can only hold a few at a time! :D It is a hobby, a collection...and a law abiding one at that.

Many of these folks who are so against gun violence also say that the prison system is unfair, biased against the folks who statistically have a higher percentage of violent actions per capita, for whatever reason. So...well...maybe they are aiming in the wrong direction...

I still don't trust him no further than I can throw him.

He is kinda long and slender, so probably more aerodynamic then Bush or McCain. So you'd be able to throw him further me thinks.

Although McCain is short, so if you take him on in a shotput kinda of throw, it might workout.

There has been a mad dash on buying guns, clips, ammo in my area after the election. I have for the past two years been looking too buy a sub compact pistol myself but really have not pressed the issue with myself. I have plenty of guns and that age old question with ask ourselfs when buying something is do I really need it.

Well as I was just looking at a few in the gun shop when this lady came in and bought a Bushmaster AR15 for $1200 and her husband was in just 2 weeks ago in the same gun shop and bought the same AR15 for the same price and just pust cash down on 2 more of the same weapon at $1200.

Good Lord! I have assault rifles only 2 and thats all I need but 4 or more, WOW. Her family was concerned as she went on too saying how they might not be able too buy guns. Well I still have not bought a pistol and my not, after all my dad has two pistols & I know when he passes on I will inherit them.

Its just my opinion but I think the lady & her family on buying the assault rifles is a bit of a over kill I think.

So they bought 4 assault riffles?

Holy crap man. Thats extreme.

I guess thats what happens when a nation of fear meets a nation of consumers.

Maybe they just really like Paintball but don't feel it's quite extreme enough.
