I just got COD:WAW and I don't see a server by the name of Cain's lair. I also dont see any way of connecting to a specific IP or server name. Just for grins I added an active server to my favorites list. But where is the list displayed? I'm confused:scratch: Why didn't it install a shortcut on the desktop or show up on my start menu? I have to eject and reinsert the disk to get it to run. I patched to 1.1. WTH?

It should have created 2 desktop icons. One for SP and one for MP.

When you go to the Server Browser, ie: Find A Game, click in the top area that says Internet, Or LAN, or Favorites, or, Friends. You may have to click more than once to make it change.

The server browser is still a piece o'crap. If you do Refresh you may not be able to connect to any of the updated servers. Can't believe that was not fixed in the 1st patch.

oh and also we don't have a server yet. give it a couple days.

The game did not put icons on my desktop either! I have had the game since it came out, and I have yet to be able to connect to the internet and play online. I am very disappointed so far...

How strange. Installed fine and added start menu and desktop shortcuts for me. Then i deleted those pesky desktop shortcuts. I hate em i hate em! :D

You don't need the disc to run the multiplayer either. I'd make two shortcuts than pin them to your start menu. One for SP/Co-op and one for MP.

Yep - CD only required for SP/Coop mode.

go to your computer right click and "create shortcut" did the same thing to me.

On Windows Vista, games do not created start menu shortcuts. Instead, it put an icon in the GameExplorer , displayed in the start menu.

I had no issues with installation. put both icons on desktop. :2thumbs:

Add all of us to friends list, and come kill me. :twisted:

Give me 2.5 more hours, and i'll be online after work. :D

Finally was able to get online now that I am home. Guess the college internet is blocking multiplayer for some reason...Oh well this is a really fun game!
