The Associated Press: Georgia congressman warns of Obama dictatorship (http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5iRxZox4GFoIweckPDP1oRhKBlHOwD94CCDU00)
I don't believe it, and I don't think the American people would stand for it, but we'll see how things run I guess.

They've been saying the same thing about Bush and it hasn't happened yet, though there is still time.

It's only the Republican's fault. They're the ones over the last 8 years to expand executive privilege grossly

He'll fight the military with the Peace Corps!...and if they win...what? they'll mend our fences and show us how to plant seeds? lol
Sounds like the congressman is even more of a nutjob than Limbaugh...I can see, however, that he is familiar with some of the tricks of the Reich.

Obama was talking about public service...people working together more. He brought up the Peace Corps as a way to improve the United States' image abroad, instead of, you know, air strikes...extreme renditions, etc. And he spoke of these things as possible ways to help kids get a chance at college. Not too much like Hitler, from what I can tell.

I don't know it doesn't sound like the peace corps to me.

Most CIA operatives hold cover identities under the state department not the peace corps. Honestly I don't know wtf he's talking about there. The peace corps are about hearts and minds....

I think he's talking about something else I don't see how the Peace Corps have anything to do with what he's talking about there.

How dare any of you address the president elect in such a way. This is a right or wrong situation, with nothing in between. And because Obama is the polar opposite (or the appearance thereof) of the incumbent, there is nothing that this man could say that would be any sort of negative!
I mean, we should just check our right to object at the door, because Obama is nearly a saint and should be recieving a call from the Vatican any day now!
Pretty damn good work for a man that has a track record of inaction and neutrality in his limited experience as a Senator. I mean the guy hasnt even officially taken office yet but some how, some of the people who have commented here have already given him credit despite a lack of accomplishment or achievement as our President.
Close the polls@! Best President in History!
And by the way, it doesnt matter what he is talking about, the Senator from Georgia is correct, we should monitor the activity of this presidential suggestion and consider it - if not for lack of validity, then for the fact of example and demonstration proven not just in Stalin/Marx/ Hitler, but for the Pinochet's, Hugo Chavez's, Castro and etc whom as dictators from which we can draw example from.
Their secret police all started as citizen militias, and they have factually documented evidence of becoming death squads.

Not really- but if you squint hard enough you can see something like that :D
The reality is that almost all the secret police forces in all the dictatorships around the world were all first brought to the people as "the peoples army", or the "citizens security force" and etc.
Thats the point.
What we have seen though is that no one should ever criticize Obama because of his sanctimonious stature in our society.
Sorry dudes- but being black, getting elected president, and etc. doesnt really make me call him a somebody yet. He's just a popular guy until he actually makes something happen to prove his worth.
