This is one game where apparently DX10 makes a big difference. When I was playing the Beta, before I got sick of the lag, it was absolutely gorgeous, much better than the screenshots you show.
Which just tells one how great this game looks, since your screen shots aren't bad.

That is amazing.

Yes it going to look Great with DX10 my system is running the game at full graphics my system as a Core2Duo E6750 2.66cpu 2 Gig oF DDR2 memory and 8800GTS 640meg card, And it runs Great.
Last night I found a sever that was Lag free and I forgot to say I using Windows VISTA as well :D

If you're using Vista, you should already have DX10 running automatically. Check your graphics settings. I have much better foliage (greenery), more realistic shadows, better water refraction, and slightly better building textures when I run it on my system than your screenies show, and your video card has twice the onboard memory than mine. You should crank everything up. :2thumbs:

You know, you're right. My mistake. It just looks SO good I assumed it was DX10. :D
So we learn that:
1. This is easily the best looking dx9 game ever made.
2. Optimization is even worse than feared. If it's not dx10 creating a bottle neck, it's incredibly poor net-code. A dx9 game should not slideshow like this, or hit 5fps nearly all the time.
3. Shadows and lighting make a big difference. Your screenshots are brighter than mine are, and my shadows seem thicker, and a bit more realistic.
4. Movement also makes a big difference. Screenshots just don't do this game full justice. You really have to see it in action to believe just how good it looks.

Because once you release a beta on Fileplanet, it's not a beta anymore. It's a publicity tool. Which is why no one takes them seriously anymore. On the real closed betas I've participated in, the NDAs were taken a lot more seriously.

Also, it's because nobody reads them.

No offence, but unless EA do some big time optimising with this game i don't think you'll be playing it at full detail with DX10 Prey_for_Death. :D
Oh, and the single player demo is out in a couple of days. :D :D

Ok I run the system check on the Ea site to test if my Rig Can play this game and hear the SS of the Results, so I think I can run the game on all High Setting.

Prey, the analyser thing doesn't really matter all that much; it's just looking at raw minimums. Juneau is right; this is one of the least optimized games I've ever seen, dropping down to single digit FPS often during the multiplayer beta before I simply gave up on it.
There are hundreds or more complaints on this on the beta forums right now, it's a very common issue. Any game that brings an E6700/2 gig ram/8800GTS system to a stand-still this soon after the chip and card hit the market needs a lot of work on optimization.

Exactly. I'm all for "we want you to play this game in 12-18 months time with new hardware and say wow" but i think they've gone a little over the top. Unless something real big happens with the coding i can see this game still struggling 12 months from now.

When it did play for a couple of moments without stutters, it was awesome. I'm hoping the single player demo tomorrow is going to be optimized enough to play it well.
