Perhaps they didnt support Obama either, and they were just especially unhappy with McCain?

What does the B stand for? Does he like Biden?

Yeah. As unfortunate as the incident is, I don't see any necessary connection between a single 'B' and a John McCain sticker.

Maybe the guy wanted to be like Zoro, but his name was Bobby, so he did a B instead of Z?

don't see how that is politically related. Bumper stickers are small, he could have decided to cut her on an extra whim of cruelty...

Seriously, it's amazing how the media can take a tiny incident and relate it to the competitors for presidency:scratch::scratch:

LOL If it looks, smells and sounds like... you know the rest. The other day they were interviewing a bunch of fools who thought Palin was the VP pick for Obama so a spelling mistake coming from a thug attacking a women at an ATM would not be too far fetched. Unless the guy really like Biden. :D

Another scare tactic to drum up votes for a failing campaign?: last chance, the race factor. I won't say that, because it would be ridiculous. At the same time, why would Obama even have to make a statement on a random mugging? How does the Republican volunteer know it is her bumper sticker that made the guy do this? I'd like to hear the whole story, before I would make a judgment...and it won't affect my vote. Are there racists on Obama's side? Yes. Are there racists on McCain's side? Yes. Are there thugs in cities who'd rather rob someone than work for a living? Yes. Etc., etc....

Here's something that matters more to me, on the presidential race...and it's related: police forces around the country are having to cut back.

http://www.cnn.com/2008/CRIME/10/23/police.economy/index.html

I'm thinking that if we weren't spending billions in Iraq to train their police and army and rebuild their country, maybe we could spend a little more in our own country, and help to make it a safer place! :D

The whole political race and crap in the US is just so dramatized its ridiculous. Slander, lies, fakes stories, bad pictures, stupid videos... all this crap that our media society focuses on instead of actual issues.

the main political problems we have here are about our province (Quebec) wanting to seperate from the rest of Canada.

This makes a huge divide between anglo canadians and french quebecers. To the point where pro-canada meetings (even Canada Day festivities) will often have small groups of french quebecers all dressed in black protesting.

We have had firebombings of english businesses.
We have laws that ensure that french on any sign is twice the size of the english.

It can get pretty nasty in provincial stuff. Federal? No one really seems to care what happens.

But we do have an awesome city :D

Had an online friend come up for the first time a few months ago and he stayed at our place for a week. He loved the city.

That's what I was thinking aboot when I posted this one. We travel to several Canadian cities and I hear that kind of stuff all the time.
