Dumbledore? Gay? To me, this seems like a bad move on Rowling's part. This seems like a throwaway, last-minute decision that probably just creates a lot of unintended pedophilia jokes. "Hey Harry, come into my Chamber of Secrets." Your thoughts?

I don't see how it's really a spoiler, and there shouldn't be anyone who likes the books put out about this. What it will do is add "gay=evil" to the arguments that "potter encourages witchcraft. Burn it!"

I don't think they'll make him a mincing caricature of a gay man who lisps and lusts after Harry and Ron in the final couple of movies, so I fail to see how it would affect anything.

It doesn't really matter if he's gay, he's still teh same character lol. Like Rand said, it's not like they're going to make him into a sterotypical gay man.

The books were already written and read before any mention of homosexuality came about.


Rowling could have just as easily said he was a heterosexual and no one would've known any difference.
