Do you NEED to reserve for the beta?

Hey, i'm just wondering, do you need to reserve it to get the beta for computer, or the 360?

the pre-order reservation minimum price is $5 at the least
then u go to the site i posted and do your things there.

I got my 360 beta key just for registering at callofduty.com, don't know if it will be the same for the PC.
