As someone with a marketing background, we call this a "level set" conversation, where when all the buzz terms, all the professional language is stripped out of the description of what is happening, this is the conversation you get.

This one was on Bloomberg this week at some point (summarized in the way that I remember it being said)

"During a Gold rush, people do not measure risk by analysis, they measure it by how many hand s they have plus the number of hands they can hire to help them carry risk without losing profit. Greed is good- but only for the few that can get out of the car before the train hits it, and what we are seeing is people who lead these drives at these banks getting out of the car as the economic trains run the car over, they are wealthy- america is not"
