Well, I'm kind of a noob at this game so far, so I'm wondering if any of the nutsy players (:D) would like to share.
That way we can all be good, :D

one tip for sniping,

Go to cloak mode while prone, the just before you shoot hit the 4 key 3 times to switch to strength mode, then back to cloak

works pretty well for me.....

Get used to using the different suit actions. It is very very important if you ask me. I'm pretty much changing every few seconds and my V key takes quite a beating. :D

I always change suit functions constantly now lol.

When you jump down any significant height, always quickly swap to Shield then back as soon as you hit the ground.

A fun strategy: When you're above someone and they don't know you're there, sprint with Speed to the edge then quickly to Strength to jump down, then use Shield and the moment you hit the ground Cloak.. If they haven't seen you Speed up behind them, swap to Strength and shoot/beat down. If they do see you stay Cloak and move behind them and then swap to Strength..
I used that alot on Monastary and had fun :D

Great tip... If you're on a building. Go prone (z by default) and put your cloak on. It will actually last for awhile if you don't move around a lot. When somebody gets into your sights, switch to strength! Take your shot and then switch back to cloak real fast!

If you fire with your cloak on then it completely drains your energy.

Missile launchers do not hone in on vehicles, so make sure to aim ahead!

If you use the speed boost to get across a large area really fast, be sure to put it back to maximum armor afterwords as that will fill your energy back up the quickest and still offer you some protection against possible enemy fire while you try to find some cover.

Discovery -- Armor rocks. Use it whenever you're in a standard gunfight, or if you're being sniped. You can take 2 solid chest shots from a Gauss Rifle with it.

Missile launchers are wire guided -- They go where you aim the laser, even after it's fired, so just fire away and keep the sights on your target

TAC Tanks that are far away from you = Run the hell away, lol. Was on beach earlier on and I one aiming my way while getting out of a bunker, so I sprinted towards it and dived off the edge of a cliff the moment it fired.... A huge nuke went off right behind me as I hit the water and died, lol...
p.s. TAC Tanks are hell to kill - I think it's 5 or so missiles.

I think if the person shooting with the sniper/gauss is in strength mode it is 1-hit kill no matter what.

Strength just steadies the shot - doesn't increase damage. its like holding breath

Sure seems to do extra damage when I have it on.

Even with sniper riffle and gause it seems to do more.... Sure, it's steadier, but i've 1 shoted people who have armor with sniper while using strength.

Head? I dunno, but im sure it jjust steadies.. no extra dmg other than melee

the portable radar kit is amazing.... Especially combined with a sniper/Scar with assault scope...
It's perfect for defending, and decent for attacking, but better for attack support.
Just scan, choose a target, BAM... also detects cloakers and other sneaky ones. Can't tell you how many Cloaks I've sniped from mid range, lol.

My Boondock kit:
SCAR w/ Assault Scope
Precision Rifle w/Sniper Scope
Portable Radar Kit
Binoculars
and a whole lotta nano :D

yea but its 1 hit kill so..... and if you add clays, no one will survive trying to get to you (clays are 1 hit kill inside the radius)

{CLR} Naillik
23rd Sep 2008, 07:13 PM
Just go for the head with the sniper. its easy once you get the hang of it. I usually snipe all the time, and mostly from very long distances (300-400m), so I don't have to worry about people coming to me... Too long a trek for them lol :P
And I'm a bit of a sneaky sniper.... I hide in a bush on a cliff. People usually don't see me till its too late :D

and clays don't do full 1 hit kill if you shield...... brings you down to 20 hp and 20 energy:D

0_o thats new.... and i like the gauss because you dont need to lead your target or account for drop at all. i often snipe at the point where my scope says infinity.:D the precision rifle is great at ranges from 100-500m but anything beyond that and its just too much time to hit accurately.

Here's a tip, Use a tube!

So what is the noobish weapon in that game?

H0ly-H@nd-Gr3nade
23rd Sep 2008, 07:33 PM
There is a grenade launcher, but in Power Struggle it is the same cost as a tank I think (500-600?). It is really nooby though.

{CLR} Naillik
23rd Sep 2008, 08:43 PM
the FGL something... 6 shot automatic tube.... Costs as much as a Gauss Tank, and comes with 6 shots to start..... 350 or so for x6 ammo. It's the ultimate noob wep, though you have to be half decent to be able to actually buy it... Most annoying close quarters weapon ever

Its alternate fire mode is very useful for disabling anybody who is cloacked and camped in or near an objective.

OK, so I have a noob question: how do you get weapons in this game? I start out with a handgun, and when I manage to pick up someone else's weapon, I get killed and lose it.

Apache Warrior
24th Sep 2008, 10:09 AM
In Power Struggle you have to buy your weapons. P is the default key and you have to be in a buy area like a bunker owned by your side.
Instant Action the weapons are laying on the ground.

Ahh. Thanks, Apache. I had heard guys on here speak of "buying" weapons, but had no idea how to do it. Do you lose the weapon you just bought when you die?

Yes but i believe u get the points back but not sure i usually get the same points back if i died and didn't cap any objectives.

If you do not have any money (points) when you die, you respawn with 100. That is enough to buy4 different weapons. This is what happens to me most of the time. :D

Depending on rank, your minimum spawn points go up.... You start out at Private, which gives you up to 100 when you spawn so you're not stuck with no guns... then it goes to 200, then 300 and so on.... Just a warning - The guy on the other team who is constantly using a Gauss Rifle with sniper scope and a Minigun and tossing nades is probably really freakin nuts at the game :D

lol seriously, 600 (gauss) + 100(scope) +500-600?(minigun) + 25 @ each nade +ammo +more ammo + probably a rocket (200)

lol.... that was just an example... I've never actually seen someone like that :D

Thing I found out - The assault scope works for snipers, and is pretty decent..... it doesn't drift and it has a different kind of crosshair - If only that crosshair was on the sniper scope:roll:

I actually prefer the sniper scope over the assault scope. Simply place their head in the little box in the middle, HS every time under 250 meters. BTW, here's some combo's that I found have worked out for me

FY71 w/ reflex sight and silencer, scar w/ assault scope and silencer, dual pistols w/ silencers and laser sights (Turn those lasers off when cloaking!). Shotty with laser sight.

Throw a smoke nade into the room after a flash bang, in case anybody walks in after the flashbang went off they still can't see easily. Sure, you won't be able to either, but with a grenade following those two it won't really matter that much.

Do the silencers keep you from showing up on the mini map when you shoot like in COD4?

yea.. damage gets a huge drop with silencers. Better just to quickly shoot and move

so true....

but on the other hand, the dual smg's are HORRIBLE if not silenced...
