I saw a great shot of the guy playing Speed in the new movie coming out next year. I can see why they cast him (Emile Hirsch):

Uhhh.....why would anyone make a speed racer movie........and why would anyone go to see it? Honestly, I just don't see it being any good.

Well, the Wachowski brothers are making it, and they're apparently staying somewhat true to the campy feel of the english translation. Which means hilarity all around.
