Heh....I'm SERIOUSLY considering doing the same (and possibly dumping the BOX on eBay at some point). It seems everything that tends toward a 360 exclusive gets a PC port at one point or another, with just about everything else being cross platform (or PS3 exclusive).
That MGS4 bundle looks mighty tempting. What's even more tempting is Wal-Mart is giving out $100 gift cards for buying a Blu-Ray player, including the PS3.
MIGHTY TEMPTING :o

I read that Best Buy is matching Walmart's gift card option. You should check your local Best Buy if that interests you.
I dunno about you, but I'd much rather have $100 BB bucks than Walmart bucks.

Except of course I can buy groceries at Walmart :D (plus there is one within walking distance of my house, while the nearest Best Buy is 12 miles away :()
Otherwise very true, Best Buy bucks would seem a bit more useful.
How have you enjoyed your PS3 Rand? I've toyed with the idea of getting one for a while now, but the lack of BC on the 40gb kept me from taking the plunge. I've never owned a PS, so I have quite a few games to catch up on

I love it. Having a blast with GTA 4 when I have time to play it, can't go wrong with the best Blu-Ray player on the market under $1,000, and backwards compatibility is tops for someone who never had a PS or PS2. Even if I haven't had time to play the five PS 2 games I bought the same day I picked up the PS3 :)
As for Walmart, I could buy some groceries but not many. There are only a handful of Supercenters in Maryland, and until about 3 months ago the closest to me was a good 90 minutes away.

P.S. The only problem is, there aren't really many other PS3 games I have interest in. But it's great for everything else, and I'm ok with saving that $60.00 cost for something else.

That's a nice deal no matter what store you choose...:2thumbs:
(BTW Walmart has a bunch of Blu-ray movies for $15 if you need to spend that gift card ...picked up Shooter and 3:10 to Yuma)

+1
Just get a 1080p/720p HDTV, 7.1/5.1 receiver (that can accept PCM via HDMI since PS3 decodes all the audio) and a quality 7.1/5.1speaker setup and your good to go on everything BD can offer...
BTW the network connection for the PS3 will auto setup with just about any router that supports UPnP since that will handle the any necessary ports. I have the PS3 setup on a assigned IP then used it's MAC address on my router to make sure that IP is always for the PS3. Just make sure your PS3 reads as NAT2 or 1 and you should be set.
