Curious to know how many of you are keeping up to date, if at all, with the results and such of the winter Olympics..

Every day baby. I love Olympics time. The only problem is when they're so far away from my time zone. With the internet age, I know results of major events upwards of 8-12 hours before they're shown on TV. What is worse is that the news organizations are making very little effort to hide the results in a separate section for those who actually want to know.

When the headline reads "Ohno Stumbles," you know he's not going to be winning a medal that night without even having to read the article. And the headlines are nearly impossible to avoid unless you cut out all news altogether.

:P we beat you once so we can do it again :)

I've never watch a game but my dad told me over the phone that they were doing extremely good so I thought I would check out how well, and found out about the match tomorrow :jam:

They are doing well in both hockey and curling. Canada's men's curling doing quite well now and it should be a good game (not that I'm gonna watch it , just catch the highlights).

How about the North American Hockey teams, talk about disaster! They were pwned!

I don't watch it. It stopped being about "sending your best athlete" a long time ago, at least here in the US. Pro athletes make so much in the US now it's not worth their time to take a "vacation" to go to the Olympics.

Good point Twinky and bad of me to not make notice of this fact. Looks as though in a few years women's hockey will be significantly more comptetitive.

I will watch just about anything Olympic, I don't care, I like it all. Its the Olypics after all. Especially this time around since Canada is doing pretty good for a change.

question:

where is this year's olympics taking place?

Turin, Italy (or as the Italians call it, "Torino")

Two countries with a combined population less than metropolitan New York will contest the Gold medal in Men's Ice Hockey.
I always cheer for Canada, but the North American teams did't bring their A games and got hammered. (wait another 4 years... )

It was a strong field, but Sweden and Finland are fully worthy of the gold medal game on Sunday. I like how both of them are playing, but I have to say that Finland has historically shown more resiliancy when push comes to shove. It's going to be intense, and hopefully fast paced.

CrazyFinn, hope you're able to catch the game. I'll be watching for Finland to make history

I like Finland for the gold too but Sweden has something to prove after their embarrassment in 2002. Should be a good game!
