Is Assassin's Creed going to be on PC?

Anyways, if it's coming out on PC, when? It's the only game I can think of that I'm looking forward too.

Sorry I was wrong, it says Early 2008 for the PC and November 2007 for PS3 and Xbox360

According to GameSpot, Assassin's Creed is being released on PC. Moreover, on the same day as the PS3/XBOX360 release! :2thumbs:

Power to the not-so-rich people who can't afford the pricy next-gen consoles. :D Though, you'll probably need a pretty powerful rig to run Assassin's Creed well on PC.

According to that page, the game will be released Nov 2007 for all 3 systems.

However, Ubisoft (http://www.ubi.com/UK/Games/Info.aspx?pId=4488) does not list a PC release date on their site...

Nope. But I was told by my friend tayeke after I told him via aim "oh it's coming out in november sweet" , that it still wasn't coming out until way later

Cause the Pc owns the console and the retailers fear that. This way people might even buy the game two times.

Not. Making it for the PC requires testing a million different combinations of motherboards, video cards, RAM, etc. (as opposed to one console configuration), adding in video and audio customization options for those whose systems can't handle the full enchilada, and in the end it won't sell as many as either of the consoles. That's why the PC is last.

Give it a couple of years and PC may dominate cutting edge gaming again and start getting the hot titles first. But with the hash Microsoft has made of Vista (and therefore DX10), and the power and online play of the new consoles, I don't see PCs regaining their once-lofty perch anytime soon, if ever.
