Ok, the part that really annoyed me was with the monkeys. Come on, he's really going to find all those vines to swing from...and have the monkeys follow him and attack the woman??

And as the door opened to the chamber with the crystal skeletons in it, I of course couldn't help myself but say, "Hey look, the Millenium Falcon!"

I thought the alien theme was along with the rest of the movies though, although I've heard bitching. I'm agnostic so personally I consider most of Christian 'mythologies' to be science fiction in and of themselves. And as was pointed out to me by a guy I work with, they've all centered around religions of some sort, whether they be Christian or Pagan.

I didn't think there were any parts that were hugely killed by CGI either, which was nice since after Star Wars E1-3 I was kind of afraid that the movie would be one giant showpiece of what Lucas is doing with CGI these days.

Overall I'd say it was worth the money to go see it, although not the best in the Indiana Jones series.

Oh yeah, LOVED when Harrison Ford takes the hat at the end and puts it on after the wedding, I was ready to storm out and set things on fire if they let Shia LaBeouf put it on and started playing the music. Although I heard he signed on for another 2 or 3 movies....not from a reputable source though and nothing is listed on IMDB about it.

I agree with what you think about the monkeys. The whole time he was swinging on the vines i was thinking about an episode of Man vs Wild that I had seen where he shows that vines aren't strong enough. Then when the monkeys attacked her I began wondering why they even put that part in the movie. I was absolutely fine with the whole alien theme until the end. When they showed the UFO taking off out of the ground, i thought it was a bit much for an Indiana Jones movie. I'm not really sure why, but I was totally fine with actually seeing the alien, but when they showed the saucer they lost me. Either way, it was a good movie that was at least better than Temple of Doom.

Agreed on the Temple of Doom comment :) I think my order of ranking goes Last Crusade, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Temple of Doom.

I agree, the spaceship at the end was really really dumb. It was pure Lucas, and that is why it sucked.

I'm fine with the alien theme, I found it interesting and all. But they could of skipped over the showing of the UFO.

And while being way exagerated, the scene with the vines wasn't that bad. My wife didn't like it, I didn't mind it. But I do agree it was a stretch and could of been done differently. Maybe 1-2 vines, but not all these monkeys...its like he became tarzan or something.

I loved the scene in the quicksand with the snake.

And the wedding at the end was cool. I would of loved to see other old cast members in the wedding party though, that would of been a nice touch

Heresy! Burn 'im!

Not liking the first one is like hating cinema all-together;the rest, ok, you get a pass on those (even if Crusade was awesome).

I haven't seen Crystal Skull yet, I'm a bit concerned that they may have jumped the shark with this one :(

Not as good as Raiders but pretty good. I liked how you got a peek at the Ark in the giant warehouse. The first time the Russian woman came on screen I whispered to my wife "Oooh, she's evil! You can tell by the hair!"

And, unlike Iron Man, it's ok to get up and leave when the credits roll. There's nothing at the end.

I thought it was good except the real cheesy parts. Like Indy getting in the refrigerator at the start, and surviving the nuclear blast lol!

And the part in the jungle where there where sword fighting on the jeeps - that was lame. And where the ruskies were firing all their AK47's or whatever and didn't hit any of the good guys. Yet they were able to slaughter those crazy native dudes at the pyramid things.

It was decent...prolly won't buy it though

Mediocre. Entertaining but I think jumped the shark pretty much summed it up.

Personally I think Lucas needs to be banned from ever making a sequal ever again. I enjoyed the new Indiana Jones movie, enjoyed the new Star Wars trilogy, but they weren't anything great, and nothing that I'd actually buy.

I went Last Night to see this movie and I thought it was not as good as the other Indy movies.

I think the whole thing with them going into the warehouse was dumb... they should've done it the same storyline as the others. Also the whole alien thing was to far out for me to much sci fi, also the car fighting scene was to long.. on the positive side the dude who played the crazy scientist pplayed that part perfectly, also watch the b***h word in the first post.

Yeah that was really dumb. they tell the kid to find something to fight with and he goes for a sword.....I'm like dude theres a 50. Cal right there.....use it

It's a lot easier to drop a sword when it's time to swing through the trees with monkeys than a heavy .50 cal.

Well, if you didn't want to know, you should have avoided the thread when you saw "SPOILERS" in the title. :)

Yes, Hulk is worth it. Marvel has themselves a pretty nice pair of films with Iron Man and Hulk.

I'm hopeful though that The Dark Knight will be better than both the Marvel films (tough though--Iron Man was almost as good as Batman Begins). If we're lucky, that will be a front-runner for film of the year. Apparently, Wall-E is in the short list too, and I love me some Pixar.

OK OK my 2 cents

Everyone is complaining about the monkeys and the UFO.... But can someone please explain to me how he survives GROUND ZERO from a nuke please... I found that a little to extreme. Also from what i understand of it the Elves song that they played in the first scene was made years after the movie takes place... And the Dukw Trucks they used in the movie seemed a little small compared to the real thing.
