Listen, I love the COD series, but the next one is being made by Treyarch which screwed up COD 3.

Call of Duty 5 was announced on December 3rd 2007 by Activison Blizzard. The Series is said to be going back to World War 2, but to the pacific theatre, an area of the war that most World War 2 shooters avoid. The game is said to take the player, to the less "popular" aspects of the conflict, China, Burma, New Guinea, etc. There are also rumours that the game will not be made for pc and will be a console exclusive game, but these rumours have yet to be confirmed.

CRAP.. out with the NEW and BACK IN with the OLD??? Jeez. And COD6 ??!!! LoL.. what a joke to plan two versions ahead. You'd think instead of this Friday the 13th series they'd combine the two and make it .. umm.. ONE VERSION!

I hear the expansion pack for Call of Duty 17 is already being tested and it is just a bunch of new maps.

very real... Japan didnt have the steel to make guns or the lead to make bullets. China wouldnt give it up to them that easily, especially when the US taught them how to fight and fought along side of them.

Japan was prepared to use bamboo spears if they had to defend the Home Islands.


Im not puttin this one down just yet... the Soviet and Pacific theaters get left out a lot. this one seems to dedicate more to them.

A couple of weeks back during X08, we learned that the "fall" release time frame Activision had been giving for the latest Call of Duty installment actually meant "November." Today, the publisher narrowed it down even further to November 11. That's the date all console versions of Call of Duty: World at War will rumble into retail ? except, of course, for the never-to-be PS2 version. Those hankering for an earlier taste of multiplayer flame thrower action should hit our post from earlier today on the upcoming October beta.
