I am going to take my physical for the USMC tomorrow, and then ship out pretty quickly after that. Obviously, I wont be around during boot, and I am not taking my computer with me, so I wont be around afterwards, wherever I end up. I want to get a camera so I can take some nice photos, hopefully of some other country, I will post whenever I can.
I am going to try and bear through the lag and play as much as possible in this next week or so. I just wanted to let you guys know how great you all are. I had massive amounts of fun playing with you all. And the forums are great, you are all very helpful and friendly, and were like a big family to me.
Cain, when I start getting a paycheck, I will start donating, I feel obliged, and bad that I couldn't for the time I was playing here. You run the best damn server and community ever.
I hope everyone has as much fun and feels as much love as I did during my stay here. I will post as much as I can after boot, but not having a computer will make that difficult. Have a great life everyone!

My brother went through MC boot camp and said what kept him going was the letters from home/friends. Give me a PM and I'll send you my info if you want it so you can let me know where to send you letters at boot camp.
In any case, good luck with the MC and whatever you'll be doing for them.
Stay strong in boot camp and remember that there's a lot of us out there rooting for you and keeping our fingers crossed for you.
God bless the USA and our armed forces, and all members of them. Even if I don't support the war in Iraq :P

I will be going to San Diego, I live on the western half of the US. The nearest shipping date is Oct. 9, that is when I will go to boot. So I have 20 days left to chill out and play games. Kind of nice, but I was hoping to go sooner so I can have a bed and some food every night, but the extra time to relax is good. I think I am going to be an aviation mechanic, and then go for pilot, which requires a 4 year degree.

Everyone is so kind. I am FINALLY done with all of the crap, and am officially a Marine now. I was sworn in and processed and the San Jose MEP lab. And believe me, it was crap. I had to visit the lab twice because of waivers I needed.
So, you go to this hotel, the hotel was really nice, especially because I have been sleeping on a floor for months and not eating too well. They gave us a free dinner at the hotel, and it was pretty good. Also, the bed was so comfortable. You go to sleep, and get woken up at 4:00AM, and go eat some more good food, they even had alright coffee. Get on shuttle at 5, go to lab and WAIT. Both times I went, I was there from 5AM, till 5PM. And waiting 90% of the time.
But, I finally got accepted and sworn in today. I got the Aviation Mechanic job, and I ship on Oct. 22.

Well, some good news. I had my date pushed back to the 5th of November due to some family complications. It is only 2 more weeks, but that is 2 more weeks I have to get my muscles ready. I was bummed out when I first realized I would need a later date, but I think it would be great to have 2 more weeks to train. Make it easy as I can.
And some more good news, this extra time means maybe I can get some more game time in.

I was on vacation for christmas, visiting family in southern california, I am at john wayne airport right now waiting for the plane to get here.
Ok, here is one story:
So there was this kid named Hardie, I dont know his first name because no one uses first names there. But, I was a gearguard on the day this story took place, so I was just hanging in the squadbay cleaning and what not, when I see my kill hat bringing in a group of about 10 guys for some IT, I guess they screwed up drilling. So they get on the quarterdeck and start getting killed, and after about 5 minutes, hardie just stayed in the down position of a pushup and wasn't moving. The DI started screaming at him to push the hell up, and he is just laying there doing nothing. After about a minute of loud yelling and hardie laying quietly, he actually said "NO SIR!" to the DI when he was ordered to do the exercise. The DI freaked out and started yelling so loud and harshly, it was inaudible. He then told the other guys getting ITed that they wouldnt be done until hardie started doing what he was told.
So, they all start screaming at hardie while they are doing their exercises, and he is crying. He gets up, and just stands there crying for about 10 minutes, while the DI and the other guys were screaming at him.
After a while, the DI let the other guys go back to drilling with the platoon, but he stayed there with hardie. Hardie actually got back down on the ground and started doing his pushups and what not again, and then he started saying that he couldnt breathe. The DI says "Good hardie, I hope you die, because I wont help you!"
"DIE HARDIE, DIE!!!"
He continued with the DIE HARDIE, DIE for 30 seconds while hardie began crying again. The hardie got up and walked to a wall and sat down leaning against it, stating that he wanted to see our Senior Drill Instructor.
DI says, "He isnt here right now hardie, he cant help you!"
After hardie cried for another 5 minutes, him and the DI went back out to drill, and me and the other gearguard had an insanely good luagh.
You will hear a lot more about hardie, he was one interesting person.
