Dear god! I'm not kidding when i say, this damn huge spider was the Marine of spiders using stealthy tactics to get away from me. Took me over 25 minutes to catch the damn thing.

*shudder*

Why do i have to be scared of spiders.

I walk into one at least once a day. Infact the other day a retarded spider made it's web infront of my front door, and I'm a coward when it comes to spiders, so I had to find a stick or pole to knock it down.

Spiders are my FRIENDS. lol

Seriously, in my previous house, I had a big Wolf Spider that resided in my kitchen. (No spider webs, they stalk and pounce. I'd walk in the kitchen late at night, and gently move him out of the way if he was where I needed to be. :D

My 12yr old has a BIG Hairy Tarantula.

Back in the days when I was a hunting maniac, one stretch of woods was inundated with spiders and webs. I'd have to brush off 3-4 every time once I made it through that patch. Nothing like seeing a big fat spider crawling on the brim of your hat.

 I have arachnophobia. There are so many "spider moments" in my life. I know it is silly, but just seeing them on tv makes my hair stand on end. :flee: I am fine with any other bug or snake or anything, but not a spider.

Spiders are like people with the 2142 camo on they think they cant be seen but once they know you have seen them they run around in circles thinking it helps, when all it does is allow you to get a better fix on them lmao

Found a black widow on my porch and another in my mailbox about a month ago. That was nice...never seen one in 35 years on this planet and then I find two in two days.

The first place I played paintball at was absolutely infested with banana spiders (not real banana spiders, but that's what everyone calls them, huge black and yellow striped monsters). I was creeping through some brush and a "stick" hung down across my goggles. Just as I went to brush it off the "stick" revealed itself to be a very large spider leg, as the rest of the 7" or 8" spider followed it down and came to rest squarely in the middle of my faceplate. I had my gun reversed and was about to fire before I realized that my goggles probably weren't rated to stop a paintball at pointblank range, and brushed him off of my face with the barrel instead.

It was always funny to have twenty guys moving stealthily through the woods in a skirmish line, only to hear a sudden burst of fire and see everyone dive for cover. When no return fire would come, you'd look up to see one guy standing in front of a holed spider web with a smoking gun and a sheepish look on his face.

Don't we consume on average like 10 spiders a year when we're sleeping?

Your disturbing thought of the day,

You know, I knew that, but it's up there with "allowable amounts of fecal matter in food" on the list of "Things I Try Really Hard Not To Think About". Thanks SO much, Rand.

That is actually two camel spiders fighting or mating or something, they are attached to eachother.

She is an RN and was bitten on the Hospital grounds. The Hospital had to pay all cost plus treatment started immediately. So no lasting effects.

are those things for real??

I don't consider myself with arachnophobia but i do treath with respects all spiders, i think what i most respect is the fact they are so agile and fast that if they want it they can bite me so easly.
My father was bite by a black widow long time ago and he was in coma for about a month

Because you're seeing the creature in your mind and you are afraid and thus your body becomes defensive then your skin becomes ultra sensitive so as to be defensive, so the landing of a piece of dust on a single hair on your arm can feel like something serious Could be that? :D

I'm OK with spiders .. I find them in the house and catch them in my hand, then drop them in the bushes out front. Only downside is they've made a huge spider hangout in the wreath on our front door, and every single day it needs cleaned or it looks like a prop from a horror movie.

Now .. rats, on the other hand ... :(

A little known fact... 'spider' comes from the greek roots 'spi' -meaning 'disgusting', and 'der' - meaning 'little creature'

Ahhhhhhhhhh, I CAN"T STAND THEM! I would rather run upon poisonous snake then upon a spider.
