I rented this and Metroid Prime Corruption for the Wii. My batteries were running low, so that may have affected things. I need to give it another shot before I can fully evaluate this game, but on first impression, it sucks big-time. You can basically throw 9 different types of pitches, but it's very hard to pull off more than about 3 of them, because they make you do clockwise and counter-clockwise wrist movements while throwing.
Have you ever tried to turn your wrist clockwise while moving your arm forward? It's neither easy or comfortable.
Hitting is hit or miss. The computer AI, even on Easy, cheats like old school baseball games. They pulled off about 3 spectacular, cut-scene worthy catches in the two whole innings I played. And they cheat at bat too.
I stopped at 2 innings because the score was 28-0 them. :shock:
I'm going to try it again with fresh batteries to see if the wii-mote responds better, but for now, this game is a huge AVOID.
