Probably not. I was a huge fan of the Graphic novel but this looks like your typical hollywood gore-fest.

The graphic novel was awesome because there was really no spoken word, and it took place in the future. Hollywood makes junk like this because they are afraid no one would identify with the characters if they didn't speak blah blah blah.

This just looks like they said, "Hey lets see how violent of an Alien movie we can make!"

At least I hope. Looks terrible; a mindless gorefest with little-to-no plot to speak of. Sure, better than the first one, but that isn't exactly a challenge. :|

cant say im surprised. i knew there was gonna be a part 2. after the first AVP which i liked it, but this one doesnt seen to worth my $10.

Don't get me wrong, no one wants the this film to be a smash hit more than me. I was disapointed in the first movie but liked it the fight sequences. It just seems like in the AVP2 trailer your getting a lot of money shots and not much else.

I'd just feel like I'd be watching the movie and saying, "Here's where the guy in the yellow hard hat gets spike through his skull. And here's where the laughing hill billy blows off the aliens head and gets acid in the face, and heres where......."

I saw a link to the first five minutes on AICN this morning, but didn't click thinking it couldn't possibly show anything cool that early in. Can you shed a little light on if it's worthwhile or not?

It basically shows why the aliens and predators are coming back and the crash landing of one of the predators ships.

I dunno. From what i've read, and if it is how they say it is (Proper Alien suspense and R Rated) then it should be a hell of a lot better than the first one. :D
