American Gangster was super amazing, especially if you like Denzel Washington. Hot fuzz was not that great in the overall sense, but it had moments. "By the power of Greyskull!!!!" lmao. It takes a true He-man fan to find that as funny as I do.

I'd have to research more into my favorites, too hard to name them ontop of my head.

Potter films are all very well done, and this one was better than the rest. I've got to believe that that and maybe Bourne (which on a second watch may move up) will drop out when I see Atonement, and either Charlie Wilson and/or Sweeney Todd.

I'm sort of screwed out of American Gangster for awhile since it's not in theaters at the moment.

Transformers was excellent popcorn action. It's by no means anywhere near one of the "best" movies of the year. Same for 300. As geek-cool as "THIS IS SPPAAARRRTAAAA!!!" may be, that line alone knocks it back 5 slots for shear overacting absurdity.

ROFL.

I hate the films. The kids in it are some of the worst actors i've ever seen. And considering the films are based around them, you get to see their bad acting a lot. :D

How can you say order of the phoenix was well done? It was hands down the worst of the movies. I will admit that I have read all of the books, and the movie hardly followed the book at all. Some of the major stuff was there, but little things that become important later on were left out. I went with someone who hadnt read the books and they were completely lost. It was horrible. Take it off. 300 was a fantastic movie. If you take out the dialogue, which you claim to have knocked it down, it is still a well made film with lots of action and amazing visuals. Even you have to admit though, some of the lines were pretty amazing. I will admit that maybe Transformers was not the best movie of the year, but it holds a special place for me as it was a large part of my childhood.

In other news...

See American Gangster as soon as it come out on video. It is completely worth it. A bit graphic maybe, but a good plot and some great acting.

DUN DUN-DUN-DUN-DUN ZILTOID!!!!

THE OM-NI-SCIENT!!!

Does that mean you like Strapping Young Lad as well? I love anything Townsend touches.

Before The Devil Knows You're Dead was weak.
Michael Clayton was disappointing.
The Bourne Ultimatum was fantastic.
310 to Yuma was off to a great start, but fell apart.
No Country was fantastic.
There Will Be Blood was mediocre at best. (as a complete package)
great cinematography... Lewis was great... dialog and score too
American Gangster was lame.
Live Free or Die Hard... sucked.
Reign Over Me was NOT good. People only think they liked it because they were tricked by the good ending. It had a good ending and that's all I liked about it.
28 Weeks Later was good.
Sunshine was just a mess. Too much clutter.
We Own The Night was weak.
