I just had to put 4 rims/snow tires on my SDs Mini Cooper (I don't want to hear it I didn't buy it for her:roll:) The tires came shipped at full pressure but there is a warning light that is staying on. Is there a way to reset this thing or a way to get the car to recognize the new sensors?

Remove the negative terminal on the battery, hold the ignition key to start position for about 15 seconds.

I'll get right on that... in the spring. :D

what year is it?
There should be a reset button near the handbrake somewhere.
Looks like a tire with a ? in it or something similar.
start car
Hold it for 5-8 sec
drive off, it will reset once the tires warm up.
2007 up is diff,
start car,
using the button on the indiactor lever.
press it until you see SET/INFO
hold it down a sec,
press until you see (_!_) and reset
hold it again until you see reset
again you need ot let the tires warm up so drive a little
Need to mind that the car will be looking for 'data' at the same level as the other sensors,
so these new ones could be sending out something a little 'smaller' and its going 'oh poopie somethings up'
its like anything, its never exactly the same.
The above should tell it what to be looking for from now on.
Word of warning!
You will have to do this again when you put the originals back on,
even if its not showing the light!
else if she gets a low tire, she wont know if shes not checking them once a week.

I added a bit after you read,
basically, just mind do this again when you get the rims changed again in the spring.
Else she will be driving around on tires like pancakes and not know.
if she does not check them by hand.

lol it is better, more intuitive i must admit.
The thing that prob scares me is, his SD's car will have a longer memory than he does.
LMAO
