Patch hurt us - COD4 server a in critical state now

Apparently the 1.4 patch also erased everyone's Favorites list.... so we are starting all over with a new server that can sit empty much of the time - without your help.

Remember, be friendly and positive when in our server, be helpful, and show great sportsmanship. Don't complain about game, or maps, nobody wants to hear that, and the players can do nothing about these issues anyway.

Our numbers have dropped off tremendously since the 1.4 patch, and will not recover without YOU FOLKS letting people know the name of our server, so they remember it, and them having a positive experience here.

TF2 and UT3 started off just as popular as COD4, has, and after a patch they have been largely empty.

Also, I need all of you to play ONLY here, and help get us back on our feet !! Players attract players...

Bad timing to release a patch right before Xmas holiday and have it mess up peoples in game browsers.

I dunno... bf patchs sucked bad. You had to wonder if you would even be able to play after each patch and worse than that you had to wonder if that was the last patch ever. I mean they gave a cool x-mas map and for the most part client wise i haven't seen any issues that make me think the patch stinks.

Before we go condemning activision we should remember EA was the ones who made a patch that crashed the server every other map. Now ill take needing to re add favorites over a server that takes 5 mins to load just to crash 10 secs after load any day.

Annoying yes but in todays world of pc gaming seems like every game needs a patch and cod giving a free x-mas map 1 month after launch is super cool :2thumbs:

Not even in the same league....

IW's patches fix a lot of stuff, tweak other things, but this game is absent the really show stopping bugs, like the Red-Player-Friendly bug that plagued BF2 for a long time after release.

I can't say I blame the company for our server troubles - well yeah it sucks they wiped the friend's lists (that happened last patch, too). It must be re-setting some local file... but anyway, I think it's good there are these patches, it's just unfortunate it makes it so hard for us to maintain our popularity.

We'll get 'em back though!

Soon as I get off work today. I tried last night but server was 48/48.

I'm not blaming anyone, I just want to be certain that all of you realize how difficult it is to get a server busy, and keep it busy.

It may appear to be easy, simply and automatic but it is none of the above.

You will notice most of the 10,000+ COD4 servers sit emoty most of the time.

The bummer here was we were well on our way to being and staying pretty busy, and now we are sort of starting al over again.

Remember most players have absolutely no idea where they are playing, or the name of the server, and with no History they cannot remember where they had fun, or a miserable time.

I'll be in the server quite a bit over the next few days as I try to move up and get a better gun !!

and I havent logged into another server since joining teh lair, to much fun and to many good people to play with.

and I have a l ist of people i must frag..since there here.. its only right that ZI keep coming back for more.
