Someone fixed these for a work luncheon and as you are aware, anything wrapped in bacon is typically awesome. This is an approximate recipe but you should easily get the idea.
1 lb thick sliced bacon
2 cans of whole green beans (or fresh green beans cut to about 3" length)
1 stick unsalted butter
1/2 c brown sugar
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees (F).
2. Cut the bacan strips in half.
3. Wrap bacon strip around 5-6 green beans and place in a baking dish (9 x 13?)
4. Melt the butter, mix in brown sugar and brush over each bacon/green bean wrap.
5. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until bacon is done.
Serve warm.
I'm definitely fixing these for Thanksgiving!

I don't. That was the recipe as given to me. I use the "fresh green beans cut to about 3" length". And this year I am going to wrap in prosciutto.

That's close enough! Not quite as sweet as the recipe I have, but I do think that using regular sliced bacon (or proscuitto) is better as it would prevent overcooking the beans. Red onion (or shallots) on top is a great touch.

make sure you fry the shallots in the bacon fat:)

It definitely works with Asparagus though... Prosciutto wrapped asparagus is one of my all time favorites!
