We may want to make this a sticky 'cause I think it may be a popular post.
What are your favorite dishes, resturants, foods, drinks, whatever? Let the mouthwatering comence.
I'm gonna start with one of my favorite places for seafood. The Monument Inn in La Porte TX. It sits next to the Houston ship channel at the Lynchburg ferry. The 567 ft. tall San Jacinto monument stands in the background.

I'll let the menu speak for itself. Not too exspensive and always good and a fun place to be.

I look forward to seeing what's out there. Keep it going.

Hmmm...I don't have a favorite (depends on my mood). But here are a few:
Indian (my most frequented as it's nearby, reasonable, and awesome)...they know me by name here...not the best website, but everything they make in the kitchen is awesome: http://maharajarestaurants.com/maharajarestaurants.com/MadisonWest/
Indonesian: http://www.bandungrestaurant.com/ favorite dish KARI LELE**
Lightly battered catfish filet served on a bed of steamed broccoli, carrot, cauliflower, onion, fresh mushroom and bean sprouts covered with a sweet and spicy Indonesian curry 8.95 L 14.95
on special occasions http://www.restaurantmagnus.com/ I don't have a favorite here, as their menu changes seasonally...but all is good. :)
The staple Chinese: http://www.imperialgarden.com/ My favorite here is the Governer's chicken.

There is nothing better then a steak & cheese from a mom 'n' pop Italian place.
My current favorite is Franks pizza Rural Hall, North Carolina (http://www.bing.com/local/details.aspx?lid=YN517x9017711&qt=yp&what=Franks+pizza&where=Rural+Hall%2c+North+Carolina&s_cid=ansPhBkYp02&mkt=en-us&q=Franks+pizza+rural+hall).
When I lived in Charlotte it was Due Amicis (http://dueamicipizza.com/).
When I lived in Greensboro it was Rome pizza Greensboro, North Carolina (http://www.bing.com/local/details.aspx?lid=YN521x9104463&qt=yp&what=Rome+pizza&where=Greensboro%2c+North+Carolina&s_cid=ansPhBkYp02&mkt=en-us&q=Rome+pizza+greensboro+nc).
...and any type of diner-type place I love, like Waffle House. :D
Living in a small town, we still have the charm of a drug store diner at one of our local drug stores. It's awesome. If any of you are ever in Walnut Cove, I'll take you there, my treat. Red Rooster (http://www.bing.com/local/details.aspx?lid=YN517x9019249&qt=yp&what=red+rooster&where=Walnut+Cove%2c+North+Carolina&s_cid=ansPhBkYp02&mkt=en-us&q=red+rooster+walnut+cove)
What I despise is any kind to trendy, yuppie, chain type establishment that can pull the Thousand Island dressing on a whim. :pissed:
I like places that have a cook and not a chef. :)

My fav restaurant is La Fondue. It aint cheap but, it's an experience for sure. Basically in the center of your table is a grill and a hot plate. The courses are something like
Salad
Fondue Appetizers
Exotic meats that you grill and then fondue
Chocolate fondue dessert
The fondue mix is usually made up of wines and various cheeses (not the chocolate one of course).
Heres the menu

Like I said it's not cheap but, it's really fun and different style of eating. The food is amazing

There is a place in Houston, TX called the Sandwich King. It is run by a family from the middle east. Their best sandwhich is called a "Steak-in-a-sack-with cheese". It is made with paper thin strips of a nutmeg spiced (I think) beef in a pita pocket with melted provalone, onions and a yellow pepper. I could eat 4 or more of those at a time. I would get full and still want another one. I would love to find another place in CA that made these or get the recipie to make them myself.
The wildest thing about the resturant was the owner. When I first went there, I was with about six other guys from work. Later I lost track of where the resturant was but I found it 2 years later. When I walked in the guy recognized me immediately and asked where my buddies were. WOW, that's some good memory! A Libyan friend taught me how to greet the guy in Arabic. I was a regular there until I had to move away.

One of my favorite chain resturants is Schlotzsky's. I love their "Original". Very good value.

Currently my favorite restaurant is Carrabba's. We sit at the bar over looking the kitchen and watch them cook. The cooks have gotten to know us and when they make a mistake on something, sometimes they give it us. :D
