How to add friends?

Hmmm so I tried to add all ya last night. No matter who I searched on none of the names came up? THis is in the BFBC2 friends list. Does the "Friend" need to be online when you tried to add them or is that list of names Steam Names? Help.

Also how do you get Voice to work? No one seems to be using it.

Did you mention bugs? Just finished a couple rounds with Mad Dog in the same squad. Then my game crashed. It's fun, warts & all.

Squad VOIP status
Mostly broken. I've heard voices sometimes (dead people?), but nobody hears me. Everybody is hoping for a fix from DICE.

Friends
It should be easy to add in the Friends interface (Add Friend) when it's working correctly. It's similar to adding in Steam, no need for them to be on line. Several people have successfully re-added friends since the "patch". I'm guessing the server might have been cranky when you tried to add.

I'll try to add you again to check it now. Invitations to DougBob & Mapes were sent okay. Were they received?

After I send an invite, eventually the name shows up in the friends list popout (after it's accepted I assume). I see a small "friend requests" box on the right side of the main screen. Does that show "0"?

I did a search for {CLR} and got a bunch of you to send friend requests to.

I still don't have your name on my list, and my new friends counter still shows 0. Our mutual invites aren't getting through.

I've got MTJ showing on my list now, so if you've got him also, that's progress! But this is probably one more thing for DICE to fix.

I think some success came when I added your name (inviting) while we were playing in the same squad. But I still cannot see you on my list.

Next, I need to try VOIP more often to know if/when it's working. I'd like to hear advice from a good squad leader, rather than only seeing some goal marking by whoever has highest rank.
