My internet connection is working, but whenever I try to connect to a server, it tries to connect for like 11 seconds, and then it says that the server connection timed out. Never have had a problem until today. Last night it worked great, and today I cannot connect to servers. HELP!!!

It happens to me as well, but I try it 3 or 4 times and then it works :?

Have you tried a hard reboot? When we had DSL back in Moultrie, it would refuse connections after about 5-6 hours. A hard reboot always solved the problem.

what would cause this problem...never had this problem until this morning. All was good last night...

Sometimes it takes more than 11 seconds to connect. Try the above and see if you can connect.

Do you keep timing out to your favorite server??

Then do this:

goto console type:

/seta cl_connectionAttempts 60

This will keep it trying for 60 seconds, rather than the default of 10 secs.

This is a 1.3 Patch issue, it takes longer for the connection..

I'm guessing some of the code could use a tweak or two.

Nah, all they need to do is increase the default timeout to 60 secs, with the next patch.
