My Worst Nightmare has Arrived

Well I booted up my 360 today to it freezing...I unplugged everything and rebooted to getting a system error E79 and the #4 light flashing red...I googled it and its my HDD. My warranty expired 4 months ago so Im screwed now:cry::cry:

Well I took the HDD off and rebooted the machine, it worked fine so I putt HDD back on and everything is all good :D

Im wondering if my daughter may have pushed the release button on the HDD and it was just loose. Whatever it was, Im sure happy it's fixed

Either way, isn't Microsoft's warranty 3 years if the situation involved a RRoD?

Only when there are 3 flashing lights and you get an E24 or E74 (cant remember) error

I bought a Indie game called Mind Wap cause I thought it would be a nice lil game that I run when I have guest. Anyway I tryied to exit and man, my xbox locked up. I couldnt do anything with the controllers. I couldnt even turn the system off from the controllers. I got up to try to press the button on the system and before I could, the console responded but locked up again. And after a few mins it finally responded properly. I think it had a memory dump from the game. I'm not going to play this game anymore just incase.

Well the problem started again :cry: but this time I got the 3 rings of death so it is covered by the extended warranty...Going to ship it out on Monday and hopefully the machine they send me back is good

My cousin sent it and in about a week from shipping they sent one back. A week later he got RRoD again. lol

Yea I have heard of that happening as well....if it does, Ill just sell all my XBOX stuff and buy a PS3... I have the Guitar Hero kit with 2 guitars, drums, mic World Tour, Mettalica and Band Hero along with like 7 other games and I have the 120gb Elite machine so Ill be able to get quite a bit for it.

Do you already have the required box? friends of mine have had to wait almost 2 weeks for them so ship a box to ship the console in, then about a month later they got it back. It did work, but it was 1 1/2 months of no play for him.
Caddys, how much did you pay for that game? only like 200 points or something? the indie ones are cheap right?

Well the way they did it for me was email me a UPS shipping label and I pakaged it myself and have set up for them to pick it up from my house on Monday...the other good thing is the shipping address is here in Toronto so they should get my machine in 1 day :D Hopefully Ill have a machine back within a week

I paid 80 MS (about 1 or 2 dollars) points for Mindwarp on LIVE. Most Indie game are real cheap bur there are some games upward of 400 points like Partyboat. Mindwarp game is nuts. Its a illusion that play with your eyes and mind.. It will show you a illusion screen for 20 or 30 seconds (cant remember in the top of my head) and later it will show you a picture. I found a youtube clip of it. Not the best but you will get the idea. :D You may want to watch the clip on youtube to get a bigger and wider screen.

The first one worked alright, the image they showed started waving around or something, it was strange. The other two, just sat still, I guess I didnt stare hard enought at the crazy thing.

Well Im not liking the way this process is looking so far....UPS delivered the console on the 5th and it was signed for...it is now the 8th and MS hasnt even acknowledged receiving the machine yet...Not sure if the place UPS delivers it to is just a relay spot that then sends the console to MS or not, but it concerns me in a way. If the repair status has not changed on Monday, I think I am going to call them

Well they finally acknowledged that they received my console...now its just a witing game to see what happens
