View Full Version : Can't seem to get onto the Steam network

:scratch:

I was connection to the server when my PC froze. I thought itn may be due to my GPU OC so I re booted and now I cant get onto Steam. I can surf the web OK but Steam is giving my problems. Is anyone else having issues?

Well I reset my router and cable modem and I was able to get in there so it was probably just on my end.

what time did that happen to you, cuz I had a similar problem around 7:30 or 8 last night.

Yea it's 4pm est and I can't connect to steam.

well whatever problem you had, i had a similar problem at nearly the same time. i guess it fixed itself though.

I had this issue last night as well... and so did a lot of people. Apparently there was a steam update and it messed up our connection to the service.

Solution:

Delete or remove the ClientRegistry.blob file, then restart steam.
It's located in Steam folder.

After deleting the files, Steam will update once more and ask you for your username and password. Hope you have it handy somehere :twisted:
